Life Lessons

My MIL sent me the following column by Regina Brett (breast cancer survivor & columnist) - Here are my favorites...

50 Lessons in Life by Regina Brett

  • You don't have to win every arguement - agree to disagree
  • Make peace with your past so it won't screw up your present
  • It's OK to let your children see you cry
  • Don't compare your life to others...you have no idea what their journey is all about
  • If a relationship has to be a secret you shouldn't be in it
  • Everything can change in the blink of an eye, but, don't worry; God never blinks
  • Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie - Don't save it for a special day...TODAY is special
  • Forgive everyone, everything
  • No one is in charge of your happiness except YOU (MY FAVORITE)
  • God loves you because of who He is, not because of anything you did or didn't do
  • Your children only get one childhood...make it memorable
  • If we all threw our problems in a pile & saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back
  • Take a deep breath - it calms the mind

What's your favorite?

don't compare your life to others - i find myself doing that a little too much.

These are so profound! I'm going to share them with my friends & family. I hope the folks that really need to take them to heart, will! You can lead a horse to water....but you can't make him drink, right?
