Merry Christmas & Happy Birthday, Jesus

We had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas! LG sang in the Christmas Eve service at church...she did such a great job! During the service they brought in a camel, sheep, a donkey and goats as they told the story of Jesus' birth. We then went outside for the live nativity. As LG looked in the manger at baby Jesus, she said, "that's not REALLY Jesus, it's just a doll :)"

The girls woke up around 7:30 and were excited to see what awaited them under the tree. Honey, Papa & Uncle Pi came over for a delicious lunch and more presents. That night, we went to Doc and Cha-Cha's for Fincher's and yes, you guessed, it...more presents! We are so grateful to have such a wonderful family! Thank you, Lord for our many blessings and most importantly, for sending Your One and Only Son for us! Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Happy 6th Birthday, LG!

Well, our first sweet baby turned 6 today! Last week I took cupcakes for her class and read "Lola Goes to the Library" and "If You Give A Pig A Party" but, when I read it I said, "if you give Lola Grace a party." After I finished the book, I gave each child a Happy Birthday balloon. They were so excited! Of course, that day was extra windy, so the picture below shows the kids holding on to their balloons for dear life as they were leaving for carpool...so cute!
Today, we spent the morning at ChuckECheese with your girlfriends playing games, eating pizza, dancing & taking pictures with ChuckE himself! After the girls ate their pizza and we sang happy birthday, none of the girls wanted to eat cake...they couldn't wait to go play more games, so that's what they did...well, except MJ :)
Daddy came from work for your celebration & kept asking me for more tokens :) Thankfully, Honey was there and kept watch over MJ! Cha-Cha and Doc also came just in time for ChuckE's arrival! We then came home and opened all of your wonderful presents...It was truly a special day!
ChuckE crowning LG.............all the girls
LG, MJ & ChuckE......atleast someone enjoyed the cake!

That night, we enjoyed pizza (again) for dinner, afterall, it was Monday, and you know what Monday means at the Wilson house :)

Lola Grace - Daddy and I love you with ALL of our hearts. You are truly a blessing to us and we are thankful that God has entrusted you to us as your parents while on this earth. You are such a special sister to MJ and she copies everything you do (always remember that)! You have a wonderful imagination and such a sweet spirit. We are very proud of you!

The Nutcracker

Mimi took the girls to The Nutcracker today...they had a blast! She said they sat through the whole thing and only got a little antsy towards the end :) LG told me that she and E are going to be IN The Nutcracker (according to LG, she wants to be Clara and E wants to be one of the "chocolates") so that when THEY have kids, Mimi can take their kids to see THEM in The Nutcracker - Good luck with that one, Mimi :)

Polar Express

Daddy headed to Fripp this weekend for a golf tourney, so, Honey, the girls & I headed to Tybee.

We went to River Street and took a tour of the Peacemaker ship...very cool! While we were on the top of the ship a huge container ship came down the river. We then rode the ferry over to the Westin to see the Gingerbread Village...it was fascinating to see all of the different gingerbread houses! We had lunch upstairs overlooking the river & LG told the chef that that was the BEST grilled cheese she had ever had. She said she wanted to eat there everyday :) He appreciated the compliment & brought cookies back for the girls. They LOVED riding the escalator, too!

Honey & girls on the ferry

The next day, we headed downtown to the old Terminal Station for the Polar Express (on the way downtown, LG wrote her letter to Santa). Martha met us there and the girls had their faces painted, made ornaments, decorated & ate cookies & had hot chocolate. We then boarded the train to go visit Santa at the North Pole. The conductor led us in many Christmas carols & the girls were so excited. Once we reached the N. Pole, we could see Santa and he made his way onto our train! He gave a candy cane to each child and took pics. Once he got to LG, she showed him her letter & he asked her if he could take it with him (he looked at me with a grin & asked, "mom - do you have a copy of this letter?" Once we headed back to the Terminal Station, LG looked at me and said, "Mama, is that all?" I said, "Yeh, the train moved fast going to the N. Pole, didn't it?" Her response, was, "Mama, we coulda just walked there?! I know that wasn't REALLY the N. Pole!"

Ready for our ride to N. Pole - - - - - Santa reading LG's list
