Look Alikes

Hope & Maddie James

ENOUGH SAID...

Bowling

So much for "lady-like" form - Here we go...

Look at that ball GO - Daddy, aren't you proud?

That's my girl - You earned a candy break!

This afternoon the girls and I went bowling with Daddy & the FPD track team...this was LG's first trip to the bowling alley - once inside, she was a little hesitant at first but she eventually warmed up to the whole idea (the fact that they had candy machines REALLY helped). We all had a wonderful time - even MJ - she was pretty wide-eyed the whole time! I think the pics speak for themselves...

Lack of a Green Thumb a.k.a. LAZY

Sharon Avant's window box creation

Hope's "plopping a plant" urn & window box

Well, the planters that our painters constructed and attached to our home when we painted back in OCTOBER have finally been FILLED WITH PLANTS!!! And, yes, you guessed it...no, I did not do the planting! I definitely lack a green thumb! As with most everything else in this world, you can actually pay someone to do this for you-amazing, ha! My type of "planting" is "placing" a fern (still in the basket!) in the planter - Sharon, the lady who planted my other boxes, recommended this & I LOVE it!

I Want An SUV

Notice I didn't title this NEED an SUV. My honda accord is just fine but when you have THREE carseats (never know when a friend will appear), FIVE ferns, TWO kids, baby dolls, etc. it gets A LITTLE TIGHT!!! We just pretended that we were in a forest with all the ferns around us and made animal sounds on the ride home (since we don't have a radio...did I just type that?). The
the trunk was full of purchases, too (and the stroller that stays in there). Yes, my husband is aware of this want of mine and is diligently working to fulfill it - thanks, babe! For those of you who think I am being a brat, I agree, and yes, I'm thankful for the car I have! Oooohhh, I feel better, now.

LG's Salon

Look at that bow & those fingernails!

Oh, we feel so beautiful!

The W girls had a little pampering today in LG's salon (aka her room). LG painted my nails & I returned the favor and we put a bow in MJ's hair. LG also put on some mighty fine makeup & the pampering was not complete without a little glitter (ok, alot of glitter)!

Macon Sports Hall of Fame

Congratulations, DADDY, for being inducted into the 2008 Class of the Macon Sports Hall of Fame! Chris, along with 7 other former highschool, college & professional athletes, was honored tonight in front of about 450 people - He had to give a speech (which was hilarious) & dedicated the night to his dad - so sweet! We are so proud of your accomplishments...I love you!

Angelia the Catepillar

LG's new friend

New Home

Inchworm - bottom outside left of bowl (look closely)

As LG looked out of the kitchen window this morning, she saw a new friend climbing on our patio chair - so we rushed outside to "meet" her (yes, according to LG, the catepillar is a girl). LG named her Angelia and said she tickled her as she moved on her hand. We looked in the backyard for leaves for her to eat & then LG asked if we could keep Angelia in a cup - she said she would put air in the cup for Angelia. When I asked her how we would get air in the cup, she blew in it - I love the way kids think! Once in the cup LG said, "Mama, she will build a Raccoon and then turn into a butterfly!" That one took me a minute to figure out (so cute & no I did not correct her)! We also found an inchworm (what an added bonus) that looked more like a booger to me but it was moving so I assumed it was an inchworm...

10 Minutes

The following is an example of why we are exhausted as moms...
  • Cleaning floors in house.
  • MJ gets tired so stop cleaning & put her down for nap...........fussy.
  • Back to cleaning.
  • Check on MJ.............dirty diaper.
  • LG comes in MJ's room to ask me a ? and my answer is "no."
  • LG answers back with a disrespectful attitude.
  • Tell LG to go to her rocking chair in her room for time-out.
  • Back to MJ to change dirty diaper.
  • Put MJ back in crib for nap.............fussy.
  • Go talk to LG about being disrespecful, etc.
  • Back to MJ's room.......fussy........take out of crib to breastfeed.
  • Put MJ back in crib for nap.......aaahhhh, asleep.
  • LG finds Angelia the Catepillar.
And this ALL went down in a span of about 10 MINUTES!!! No wonder I'm exhausted by the end of the day (or some days 10:00 am) - It's all worth it! Thank you, Lord for my precious girls!

LG's Artwork

2 Years Old - Look, Mama!

I came across this pic while organizing my old files...LG decided to color and yes, that is RED INDELIBLE INK!!! She was so proud that she had colored herself AND the kitchen floor...what an artist! Those are paper towels that I tried to get the ink off with - didn't work so well.

MJ 5 Months / LG 4 Years

Well, this was fun to do as a mom...it took a while but I think it was worth it! These precious days won't last long! I love you, LG & MJ!

Monday Morning Carpool

"Can we go through the line, please?"

On Monday mornings we swing by and pick Emory up for school...LG gets so excited having a friend ride with her on the way to school - I have heard many cute stories, discussions and mild arguments-ha! between the two of them! Every Monday, without fail, I hear, "Can we play together today?"

MJ's 1st Visit to Nursery

Yes, this morning MJ made her 1st appearance in the nursery! There were 2 other babies in her room. Of course, before we left for church she wouldn't nurse (what is it about Sunday mornings???) so I assumed they would page me during the sermon but it never happened! I went to nurse her in between worship & bible study & they said she had been so sweet - aaawww! LG & I picked her up after bible study & of course, she had had a "blow out" and the sweet lady had put her "blow out" bloomers inside a diaper changing glove because that's all she could find-ha! That reminds me, I need to go wash them...anyway, they said she was such a happy baby - I guess even despite the "blow out" she made a good 1st impression-ha!

My Little Chef

LG "chopping" onions

Pouring in the tomato sauce

Finished product...look at ALL those yummy veggies!

LG loves helping me cook...(yes, it is rare when I cook but when I do, she wants to help) - I'm making an effort to cook more so we don't waste so much $ eating out! After church today I asked LG if she wanted to make vegetable soup - We got a little carried away with the veggie part and used onion, celery, green beans, okra, tomatoes, kidney beans, carrots, mushrooms, corn, peas & elbow pasta! If I may say so myself...it was DELICIOUS! Great Job, LG!

Sweet Papa

I'm gonna get you, Papa

Papa stopped by this afternoon to spend some time with his "favorite" girls. He gets such joy out of seeing them and they LOVE spending time with him! (Thanks for repairing our disposal, too, Papa!! You're the best!)

Fun with Cha-Cha

LG loves Cha-Cha

LG spent the night with Doc & Cha-Cha last night. I took her over to their house after school on Friday (as well as MJ so I could go to a birthday lunch - thanks Cha-Cha!). She had a blast! According to LG, they read books, played games, watched Annie, she got to sleep in Summi's bed b/c it was a "special" night, she played with Wilson & uncle Brian even took her for a ride on his bike - she said it was "so much fun!" LG said for breakfast this morning she ate "tasty cereal with sugar on it...they were out of the Lucky 'things' " - that would be Lucky Charms.

UPDATE...LG woke me up and asked for dinner at 6:30 (yes, I was napping!)...while I was preparing fajitta's in the kitchen she was cuddling with daddy on the couch & fell asleep within 10 minutes - he tried to wake her up to eat dinner but had no luck - he carried her to her bed and we haven't heard a peep...Now that's a TIRED 4 year old! (9:27 pm)

QUOTE

"Adult children view unasked for advice as veiled criticism."
-Is that quoted right, Mimi?-
Lord, please remind me of this as my girls get older...

Dinner at Mimi's

Mimi & "Emory's" Papa (as LG calls him) invited us to dinner on Friday night at the beach. They recently completed their outdoor patio "project" and so we were enjoying a nice, relaxing outdoor dinner with friends...until neighbor E. comes over and says, "Do ya'll have a baby up there? (Translation - inside the house). It's screaming it's head off!" Well, wouldn't you know, MJ wanted to join the party! I quickly got up and rushed inside to go check on her...only problem is I FORGOT THERE WAS A SCREEN DOOR AND WALKED RIGHT THROUGH IT!!! Oh, yea, we've all seen it happen! Hilarious!!! I turned and said, "I don't know how much your screen cost, but my nose cost 10K" - Ha! I had black marks on my nose from the screen - yea, the force was pretty intense! As I apologized to Mimi about the screen she said she was much more worried about my nose than the screen - thanks, Mimi...and yes, "the" nose is fine!

Tybee Season is Here

Fun-Filled Tybee Days...
  1. Honey & MJ relaxing at the park
  2. MJ's 1st adventure of swinging at the park - loved it!
  3. Beautiful tree at park...had to climb it & take pic
  4. Honey: "Where are we going to eat lunch?"
  5. Papa & LG built "drippy" castles
  6. Papa LOVES bringing bread to feed the birds - they actually eat from our hands!
  7. MJ is a "Tybee" girl...just like Honey, Mama & LG!
  8. LG - running, squealing, jumping in waves, sand castles, making "beach" friends, digging, LOVING LIFE!
  9. MJ's 1st intro to the Atlantic Ocean...oooohh, it's a little chilly!
  10. MJ back at the house having a "foot" snack - I promise I feed her!
