May 2012

For Mother's Day weekend we went to Tybee for the Wilmington Member Guest.  We sayed at the Cable's house with Pac & Jason.  We had a ball.  Dad went outside one night to take sissy-kitty to the bathroom on a rope.  Next thing we know Dad came in with his head pouring blood.  It had been raining & he had slipped, fallen & busted the back of his head open.  Long story short, Chris & Honey took Dad to the Med clinic while I stayed home with the girls (Pac & Jason arrived the next day).  Dad ended up with 10 staples in the back of his head!  And yes, he went on to play the entire tournamnet!  Mom & I took the girls to the back river.  We walked down to our new house and set up shop & they had a ball!  They found a ton of clams & played, played & played!  Grandadday & Kay took the girls to h & then brought them back to their house for a tea party.  The girls had a blast.

May 24th Mom was in Savannah closing on the Tybee house while I was in Atlanta having my LASIK consultation.  Friday Mom drove me to Atlanta.  We checked into the Hampton Inn, hit Maggiono's for a fantastic lunch, went back to the hotel to put our leftovers in the frig & then headed to my appointment.  Somehow how got turned around & got a little lost. Mom had to make an emergency visit to the cheesecake bakery, but, we made it on time.  Dr. Kozarsky & his staff were so nice & accomodating.  They gave me a valium upon arrival & the entire procedure took about 15 minutes.  They had told me to bring a sweatshirt because tye OR is cold.

School is out!  LG has completed the 2nd grade & MJ 3k.  Both of them had a terrific year.  MJ did not think that she could cut with scissors very well so she just decided she wouldn't cut at school.  Once we found out, Daddy explained to her that she still needed to obey her teachers and try her best.  She was cutting within a week and loving it!  Way to go, MJ!  MJ loved 3k, but, she loved staying home with mama more.  She went Mon., Wed. & Fri.  Mrs. Dana & Mrs. MB think her transition to 5 days in August will be a little tough, but, we all know she will do fine.  LG was voted by her classmates for the "best sportsmanship" award --way to go LG!
