Chris & I took a friends trip to Fripp Isl. this weekend...we had so much fun! The guys played in a golf tourney...Chris' team made it to the shoot-out, but, that's as much as I'll say about that - ha! Wonderful meals, beach time, golf carts, icecream for breakfast, cake for Mo's bday, pilates, the snake pit, the memories go on & on (just a lil bit). The highlight was that it was only a 1 1/2 hour trip since Mo & JB invited us on the chopper...thanks! Thanks to the G's & S's for great hospitality!

LG & I spent Easter afternoon watching the play "The Sound of Music" at Macon Little Theater. It was wonderful & the actors were so talented! LG fell in love with Maria & told me on the way home that she wished Maria was her Mama - um...ok? If it weren't for THIS Mama, you wouldn't have GONE to the play! OK, I feel better now - ha! (And, NO, I didn't say that to LG...I just smiled and said, "really.") I guess I need to start singing more? I love you, LG!

Daddy & LG played in the Mini-Masters & had so much fun! Daddy, LG, MB, Morris, Josh & Dave were all in a group together. Afterwards, there was a presentation with trophies & the winning Father-Child were given green jackets...later that night as I was putting LG to bed we were talking about how much fun she had -

LG: "Mama, but, I already have that green jacket in my head."

M: "Oh, you do? You mean that you're going to win it next year?"

LG: "Oh, nooooo, Mama...because you KNOW I really only like PINK!"

We went to the Paulin's today for the class Easter egg hunt. LG has 15 kids in her class, so each child brought 15 numbered eggs (1-15) for us to hide. Then the children had to find their school number on the eggs. The Easter story was told with eggs & we also had snacks, face painting, egg carry & bubbles. What fun...

LG loves having Emory come play on Wednesdays. They love to dress up, drive the Barbie Jeep, swing, pretend, eat a snack, do a little homework & then take a bath & off we go to Church for dinner & class. This week with Easter, we didn't have Church, so we packed up & went to the FPD track meet & then to Chick-fil-a!

We headed to the Abbott's house today for their annual Easter Story/Egg Hunt. The kids had such a blast making crafts, eating cookies, playing, hunting eggs & listening to Mrs. Jana tell the Easter Story with special eggs! LG got a little confused about when she was supposed to hunt (there was a wide range of ages) & so she didn't pick up ANY eggs, not one! Poor thing! She was upset so I told her we would bake cookies for her at home since she didn't get any eggs. I mentioned that LG didn't get any eggs to my dear friend, Courtney, & the next thing I knew, her sweet son Chandler came & dropped 4 eggs in LG's basket while she wasn't looking...suddenly she felt something drop in her basket, looked down & saw the eggs & a HUGE grin appeared on her face - she was ecstatic - it made my heart melt to watch Chandler's kindness & the joy he brought to LG!

New Nickname

This morning as I was doing LG's hair before school we were talking & I said...
M: "Geese..."
LG: "Mama...I'm NOT Geese anymore. I don't like that."
M: "Oh, you don't? Then what's your name?"
LG: "I just want my nickname to be 'Darlin' "
M: "Oh, o.k."
LG: "Can you tell Daddy that?"
M: "Sure..."
LG: "Pinky promise and cross your heart & your eyes? Mama, this is how you cross your eyes."
M: "Sure." (Not too sure where the cross your eyes part came from?) :)

The girls & I headed to Savannah Friday afternoon to "prepare" for another St. Patrick's Day celebration. We had a wonderful time. We spent time with Uncle Pi, had dinner with Martha & Rem & went to visit Nini, too! We went to River Street & ate lunch at The Shrimp Factory, made a stop by River Street Sweets & then headed to the park where we found green fountains! The parade was great & we found a great spot for the girls to watch as it came by. We ended our trip with lunch at Johnny Harris & then Papa, the girls & I headed back to Macon.

Frosty the Snowman

Well, we actually had some snow! The girls were so excited - Daddy was too! LG had a bday party for a classmate, so she & Daddy headed out for that & the snow didn't stop. The party went on anyway, so I took MJ over to H & P's. By the time we got home, LG & Daddy had made Frosty & as we pulled in the driveway, Daddy nailed our car with a snowball!
